Aptos (APT) is a Layer-1 blockchain designed to deliver high scalability, low transaction costs, and secure smart contract execution. Built by former Meta engineers, Aptos is based on the Move programming language, which was originally developed for Meta’s Diem project. The chain uses a parallel transaction execution engine (Block-STM), enabling it to process multiple transactions simultaneously.
