his guide shows you how to set up and configure Binance API keys for SPOT trading, allowing you to connect your account to the Psyll platform for automated order placement. Your API keys are a crucial security asset, just like a password, so they must be protected. The setup process involves defining permissions, restricting access to a specific IP, and disabling withdrawals. Psyll has no direct access to your funds and does not require withdrawal privileges. Before you begin, confirm your Binance account is active, with a funded spot wallet, verified identity, and 2FA enabled.
By configuring these keys, you can integrate with Psyll to automate instant buy and sell orders on the Binance SPOT exchange. Limiting the permissions to only what's essential helps to mitigate risk. For any questions, please consult the official Binance documentation or contact their support team.
Step-by-step guide to creating API keys
Log in to your Binance account
Open your web browser and navigate to www.binance.com. Enter your email or phone number and password. If you have 2FA enabled, input the verification code. Once logged in, make sure you are on your account's main dashboard.
Go to API management
Click the user profile icon in the top navigation menu. A drop-down menu will appear; select "Account." Here you'll find your API management.
On the left-hand side, choose Account > API Settings. This is the page where you can manage your API keys, including creating and editing them.
Creating a new API keys
On the API Management page, find and click the "Create API " button. This will open a new key configuration form.
In the "Choose API Key type" form, choose the "System generated" option. This type ensures that the keys are automatically generated by the Binance system, which increases their security. Avoid the "self-generated" option unless you have experience with asymmetric keys (Ed25519 or RSA).
Choose a name for your API key. The name should help you identify the key in the future and should not contain any sensitive information.
After clicking the "Next" button, the system will redirect you to the Binance security verification. Follow the verification instructions, which may include entering a 2FA code, an email code, or an SMS code. This step confirms the user's identity and prevents unauthorized actions. Depending on your settings, you might also be required to complete a captcha or additional authorization.
After the verification is complete, you will be redirected to a view of your API keys. Copy the generated API key and private key. Store them in a secure password manager or an encrypted file. The private key is displayed only once - if you lose it, you will need to create a new key.
NOTE
Store your API keys only in a secure place, preferably in a password manager or an encrypted file that only you can access. Do not share them with anyone, and if you suspect they may have been compromised, immediately delete them from your Binance panel and generate new ones.
API Key Configuration
From the view of your newly generated API key, select the "Edit restrictions" option to customize its access rights.
Change "IP access restrictions" to "Restrict access to trusted IPs only (Recommended)"
In the field below, enter the IP address 74.248.136.25
, which is owned by the Psyll service and used exclusively for executing trade orders. This setting is mandatory to enable trading permissions;
IP address
Make sure to always use "74.248.136.25" for the IP access restrictions. This is the single server address for Psyll that will be sending orders to your Binance account.
Once the IP address is entered, click on "Confirm". The system might prompt you to complete a security re-verification.
On the permissions panel, toggle on "Enable Spot and Margin Trading". Deactivate all "Withdrawals" and any options for fund transfers and futures.
Save all settings you've entered.
This makes sure the API key is restricted to SPOT transactions, preventing any withdrawals or transfers. After you finish the setup, your Binance account is ready to be integrated with Psyll. Store your API keys in a safe place, as you will need them to input into the Psyll dashboard. Monitor the key activity regularly in the API Management section and disable it if you suspect a security compromise.
